The 2nd Annual Kristen's Krew 5K is part of a full weekend of exciting events honoring Kristen McCartney and her perseverance - and raising money for the Kristen McCartney Perseverance Scholarship. Funds raised will help young women reach their college goals. Kristen McCartney was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who passed away in 2021. Kristen had a form of epilepsy that was not fully controlled by medication, and could be triggered by sunlight. That never stopped her from living the life she wanted.
